Founded in 1928, closed by Stalin at the end of World War Two, re-opened and renewed since the declaration of Ukrainian independence, the LTA has had a complex history and has plans for a grand future.

Students

Lay men and women, male and female religious and seminarians study, pray and play at the Academy's two campuses.

Institutes

The LTA's 8 institutes allow it to help Church and society in different ways and to further the cause of education with research and other scholarly work.

Publications

LTA teachers and staff write, edit or translate the texts used by students and a wider public.

Resources

Its state-of-the-art library and technology department keep the LTA moving forward; its Alumni Association and Spiritual Support Center maintain contacts with graduates and society; and the Patriarch Slipyj Museum is a reminder of what the past can teach.
