Operations Division

The uniformed patrol function of police departments symbolizes the entire police service: foot patrol officers; marked police cars; and brightly colored bicycle patrols. The Operations Division provides the visible policing presence on the city's streets, responds to calls for assistance from the public and works in partnership with the community through community programs and Community Policing Centres. The Division focuses its resources in order to address the problems which cause the greatest harm to the community. It is our goal to provide a balanced approach between reactive and proactive policing to improve the quality of life and sense of safety for us all.

Deputy Chief Constable Bob Rich
